January 3 – Baking with Spencer
Spencer got a baking kit for Christmas from Babi and Grandpa so we decided to make them.

Spencer was happy with the picture I colored.
His pooping place (the living room) was occupied so he found a new pooping place:
These gifts were sent to us from Babi’s Slovenian friends.
January 9 – 11 – Fun at Home
January 12 – Puddle Jumping
It was warm and we had been stuck inside for a few days, so we go outside and jumped in the puddles. The boys were afraid to get wet at first, but I encouraged them to and they had a blast. After they got into dry clothes, they had hot chocolate to warm up!
January 13 – Chatham Tech Holiday Party
Mimi and Pop came to babysit so Daddy and I could go to his holiday party at Harry’s Savoy Grill in Wilmington. We went to his boss’ house first, around 4:30ish, to pre-game. Then I drove us to the restaurant around 6:30 where we had more drinks, dinner, and dessert. There was no music or dancing, so we hung out talking until the bar closed and then made our way to Ulysses Gastropub. We stayed until around 11:30 and then headed home. I’m thankful that the boys did so well with Mimi and Pop and that Nevin and I had a great night out!

January 25 – Spencer Selfies
Nolan got new sneakers.
Spencer fell asleep on top of me at nap time. I can’t tell you the last time he fell asleep on top of me. It was amazing:
January 26 – Corbin is 10 months!
On January 23, I discovered that Corbin’s first tooth is popping through. It is his bottom left middle tooth and so far, that’s the only one I can feel. He’s handling it pretty well so far. Corbin is starting to pull himself over things (i.e. piles of toys or clothes on the floor) and onto things (i.e. my leg, the laundry basket, etc.). He gets up once per night between 1 & 3 and sometimes even sleeps straight through the night. On January 27, he pulled himself up on his knees while holding on to the laundry basket. On February 2, he was laying down on the playmat and when I came back from throwing his diaper away, he was sitting up. The next day, he was laying down playing with the vacuum and when I came back, he was sitting up. Although he’s done it twice, we have yet to witness it! He also gets up on his knees while army crawling much more frequently now.
Corbin says “mama” and can pull himself up to his knees and even to standing sometimes. He will mimic what we say and blows raspberries. If you tell him “no” he will open his mouth for you to take out the object (most likely a Lego) out of his mouth. He gets into a sitting position on his own frequently and we have now all witnessed it. He also only nurses from the left side.
January 28 – 31 – Wallpaper Removal (Finally!)
We borrowed the wallpaper steamer from Babi and Grandpa while we were in State College and I finally got motivated to remove the wallpaper (only took me a month!). I am so thankful for that steamer. It helped so much, but even with that, there were some stubborn spots that took forever to get off. Remind me NEVER to wallpaper any wall in my house. Who thought it was a good idea to wallpaper the inside of the window frames? That person should have come and removed them for me because that was the hardest/most excruciating part of the whole thing!
He didn’t like the mashed sweet potato he put in his eye:
